This is a quick and easy app to use. It provides you with a short-list of possible word solutions.
This app differs from other word search apps that use a full dictionary of 150,000 words or more. I have compiled my own dictionary over the past 2 years that contains only English words (a U.S. spelling option is now included) that I am familiar with ,and can use in a sentence. I have found that 98% of words used in crossword and codeword puzzles I tested were found by this app. The result is a better, compact search, that does not present you with a list of 500 words to plough through. Research has shown that the average person knows around 20,000 words and only a small percentage of the population are familiar with 30,000 or more words .
The main reason I compiled this dictionary was because it annoyed me intensely when playing Scrabble, that words that nobody had ever heard of or seen used before ,can be played. One suggestion is that when playing Scrabble you restrict the use of words to those contained in this app.to make a better fairer game.

The prime use of this app though is to assist you with finding a short list of words to solve a crossword or codeword puzzle, when you get stuck . The dictionary is an ongoing project ,so additional words will be added over the course of time and the dictionary updated accordingly.
